KEY FACTS

This Audi 80 Avant RS2 is a well-maintained and eye-catching example of the iconic high-performance estate car, presented in good order.
It is powered by a 2.2-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine, producing up to 311bhp, with Quattro four-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission.
The Audi RS2 is a rare car, with fewer than 3,000 examples delivered worldwide.
This left-hand drive example has been in the custodianship of its current owner for three years, and had a recent €12,500 overhaul service at 114,000 km and a further €12,500 spent on cosmetic work (underbody and engine bay) in late 2019 at Stipt Polish Point.
The odometer now displays 123,931 km from new.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

Created in collaboration with Porsche, the Audi RS2 was built at Porsche’s Zuffenhausen plant, and features Porsche-designed braking and suspension systems, 993-generation 911 door mirrors, ‘Cup’ alloy wheels, and 993 bumper-mounted front indicators.
This example is specified in the sought-after hue of Nogaro Blue over a black leather-trimmed interior, accented by carbon-fibre dashboard and door trim inserts.
It rides on the correct 17-inch five-spoke ‘Cup’ alloy wheels housing red Porsche brake callipers and shod with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres.
Factory features include climate control, heated and electrically adjustable Recaro front seats, front and rear electric windows, and a Becker Mexico radio / cassette player.
This car also features a stainless-steel Supersprint exhaust system (fitted 2019) besides the original exhaust system with catalytic converter that comes with the car.
Accompanying the car is the original book pack, stamped maintenance booklet, some previous maintenance invoices, and all maintenance invoices from the current custodian.

CONDITION

There is no impact damage present on the bodywork.
The Nogaro Blue Pearl Effect paintwork is in generally good condition, showing light minor markings expected from a car of this age. The vendor notes that the bonnet, wings, bumpers and wheels have all been resprayed to address stone chips, but notes a blemish under the front bumper, and another on the nearside front door rubber.
Inside, the cabin presents well, with some minor creasing and wrinkles on the black leather sport seats, but with no major wear. The glass has cracked in two of the three gauges at the bottom of the centre console.
The vendor reports that the headlining was replaced during summer 2021, and that there was a plastic cover from the interior which came loose and is provided with the car. The trim on the left rear door panel has come loose but can easily be corrected.
The seller reports that the driver’s side door mirror cannot be controlled electrically. However, there are no other known electrical or mechanical faults, and no warning lights on the dashboard.
The most recent inspection of roadworthiness took place during July 2021, and it is reported that no advisories or warnings were noted.

SERVICE HISTORY

The latest service was carried out during at 114,000 km by Audi RS specialist Plat Autotechniek. The work comprised of an engine oil and filter change, along with a mechanical overhaul which totalled €12,500 and included a full brake strip down and replacement, replacement bushings, and engine chains and valve stems.
It has received regular maintenance over the last few years, including the fitment of a new stainless-steel exhaust system.
The vendor also reports that the car received a cosmetic overhaul of the engine bay and underside at Stipt Polish Point in 2019 (€12,500 invoice included).
